Description
Offers training, technical assistance, resources, and other learning opportunities to support and enhance peer recovery support services in the U.S. Focuses on building and advancing recovery supports and services across service settings and in purposed-focused settings; developing the peer workforce; and advancing, educating and informing on evidence-based practices and research related to peer recovery support services.
What This Program Offers
The Center for Addiction Recovery Support (CARS) can provide:
- Peer recovery support services resource library
- Technical assistance related to:
- Strengthening the peer workforce
- Strategic planning
- Building and advancing recovery services across service setting, including courts, corrections, reentry, healthcare providers, housing, and other peer-led organizations
- Sharing evidence-based practices and practice-based evidence
- Building and advancing recovery services in workplaces, institutions of higher education, and high schools
- Training and resource development
- Program evaluation
- Events and training opportunities
- National directory of peer recovery organizations, State peer certifications, and recovery support programs
Who Can Receive Services from This Program
The peer workforce, recovery community organizations (RCOs), and other organizations, communities, and states working and supporting peer recovery support services are eligible to participate.
