Description
Provides training and technical assistance to increase the quality and effectiveness of mental healthcare for individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) and first episode psychosis (FEP). Supports professionals, community members, family members, and people experiencing SMI with resources and training on evidence-based practices for identification, assessment, treatment, and recovery for adults with SMI and FEP.
What This Program Offers
SMI TTAC can provide:
- Technical assistance to states, territories, providers, direct care staff, communities, family members, individuals experiencing SMI, and other stakeholders to support the implementation of SMI services and expand access to care
- Personalized intensive technical assistance (PITA) services to those who directly oversee or provide mental health services and supports for people with SMI or FEP
- Support in Identifying and developing resources to address the diverse needs of stakeholders
- Dissemination of and support for the adoption of evidence-based, evidence-informed, and promising practices to advance the quality of SMI-related services
Who Can Receive Services from This Program
Eligible participants are states, territories, providers, direct care staff, communities, family members, individuals experiencing SMI, and other stakeholders that support mental healthcare and SMI services.
