Description
Offers training and technical assistance to families, organizations, and communities to enhance their ability to provide support and care for children who experience challenges related to mental health and/or substance use. Provides guidance to professionals helping families navigate mental health and substance use systems and increases access to information, resources, and training on best practices and policies for strengthening family engagement and support to improve outcomes for the target population through the lifespan.
What This Program Offers
National Family Support Technical Assistance Center (NFSTAC) can provide:
- Technical assistance that is flexible and responsive in the areas of workforce development, education and training, family partnership, caregiver support, and more
- Online self-guided course for behavioral health providers to develop effective partnerships with families
- Live webinars, video and podcast series
- Resource library with a range of relevant publications and materials as well as NFSTAC developed toolkits, guides, and curricula
Who Can Receive Services from This Program
Families whose children experience mental health and/or substance use challenges across the lifespan, and the workforce, organizations and communities that support them are eligible to receive assistance.
