Description
Provides training and technical assistance to jurisdictions to develop, implement, and expand comprehensive efforts to identify, respond to, treat, and support individuals impacted by the use and misuse of opioids, stimulants, and other substances. Promotes access to treatment and recovery services in the criminal justice system, data collection and sharing, leveraging resources and funding, and efforts to prevent substance misuse.
What This Program Offers
COSSUP Resource Center can provide:
- Customized technical assistance offered as virtual and in-person training events, workshop and meeting presentations, and online resources
- Online learning center with self-directed courses, virtual site visits, webinars, and podcasts
- Peer-to-peer learning and mentoring opportunities to learn from experienced programs with demonstrated success
- Information on current COSSUP grantee projects, including performance reports and success stories
- List of current funding opportunities and resources to support grant applicants
- National and regional conferences, meetings, forums, and other in-person events
- Resource library with publications, toolkits, reports, and other material, including a topic area with rural-focused resources
Who Can Receive Services from This Program
State, local, and tribal stakeholders, and COSSUP grantees seeking to implement and sustain multidisciplinary criminal justice responses to substance misuse are eligible for assistance.
Eligible agencies and organizations include but are not limited to first responders, the criminal justice system, child welfare and foster care, behavioral health systems, and victim service providers.
