Description
Offers training and technical assistance support to jurisdictions seeking to implement swift, certain, and fair response (SCF) approach to community corrections. Promotes policies and practices such as regular random drug testing, immediate arrests, expedited warrants, a motion-to-modify process, noncustodial sanctions, and incentives for positive behaviors, with the goal of reducing recidivism and improving outcomes for individuals on probation, parole, or pretrial supervision.
What This Program Offers
Swift Certain Fair Resource Center can provide:
- Technical assistance in virtual or in-person formats to support program development, implementation, or evaluation
- A list with links to current programs implementing SCF approaches, including BJA grantees
- Annotated SCF literature review, including program evaluations
- Newsroom with current articles related to SCF and community supervision practices and policies
Who Can Receive Services from This Program
State, local, territorial, and tribal jurisdictions and agencies implementing Swift Certain Fair (SCF) in community corrections are eligible to receive assistance.
