Description

Provides training and technical assistance to rural, tribal, and underserved communities to address criminal justice, public safety, and other related challenges. Offers customized, culturally appropriate assistance in the areas of tribal justice, law enforcement, child safety, and victim services. Serves as the technical assistance provider for the DOJ's Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation (CTAS) program.

What This Program Offers

The National Criminal Justice Training Center (NCJTC) can provide:

  • Technical assistance to rural, tribal, and under-resourced communities offered in on-site and virtual formats
  • Customized training tailored to meet the unique needs of individual communities
  • Virtual training opportunities offered in live and on-demand formats
  • Resources, publications, and newsletters on a range of topics, including alcohol and substance misuse, community policing and prevention, courts and community corrections, and more
  • List of affiliated programs offering technical assistance support, including to Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation (CTAS) and other grantees
  • Information about upcoming conferences and calls for presentations

Who Can Receive Services from This Program

Eligible participants are rural, tribal, and other underserved communities working to address needs and challenges in the areas of criminal justice and public safety, including tribal justice, law enforcement, child safety, and victim services.

Eligible organizations can request assistance through the appropriate NCJTC technical assistance program.

Organizations may also complete the online form on the program website to request customized training. There is no application process to receive customized training.
