Description
Provides training and technical assistance to prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs), federal partners, and other stakeholders to promote and enhance the use of PDMPs to address the misuse and diversion of prescription drugs. Offers a range of services and resources to strengthen coordination, efficiency, and the use of best practices for PDMPs, with the goal of improving patient safety and public health for communities.
What This Program Offers
The PDMP Training and Technical Assistance Center can provide:
- Technical assistance offered in various formats, including virtual and in-person training events, workshops and meeting presentations, and online information and resources
- A current list of state PDMP profiles and contact information
- Resources focused on PDMP policies and practices, such as mandated enrollment and usage, administration, access, information sharing, and more
- Legislative updates in the form of quarterly and annual summaries of proposed and enacted laws and regulations affecting PDMPs
- Learning opportunities, in-person meeting and convenings, live webinars, and virtual learning
- List of current and future funding opportunities from BJA and other federal agencies
- Resource library with publications, briefs, presentations, videos, and other material on a range of PDMP topics
