Description
Provides a directory of national, state, and local programs and services to support recovery, rehabilitation and community reintegration for military service members, veterans, their families, and caregivers. Helps connect individuals to a range of services and resources, including substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery support.
What This Program Offers
The National Resource Directory's (NRD) services include:
- Directory of resources and providers with descriptions, location, and contact information for each resource
- Resources searchable by city, state, zip code, and
subject, including:
- Healthcare, including resources related to substance use disorder treatment and recovery support services
- Housing and homeless assistance
- Education, training, and employment
- Benefits and compensation
- Family and caregiver support
- Transportation
- Function that allows users to add and update resources to the directory
- Partnership with organizations that share NRD's mission and offer support to service members and veterans
- News stories on issues relevant to veterans, service members, families and caregivers
