Description
Provides training and technical assistance to states, tribes, and local jurisdictions to develop, enhance, and sustain family treatment courts (FTCs). Offers a range of resources, publications, and web-based learning tools to help implement evidence-based practices, strengthen family treatment court operations, and achieve better outcomes for participants. Promotes the use of FTCs to provide safe environments for children and address the needs of justice-involved parents with substance use disorder (SUD) through intensive judicial monitoring and interventions to treat SUD and other co-occurring risk factors.
What This Program Offers
The FTC TTA Program training and technical assistance program can provide:
- Hands-on and web-based technical assistance and program evaluation
- FTC Learning Academy annual web-based training event
- Online tutorials offering 5 self-paced training modules on different aspects of the family treatment court model
- Peer learning court program to identify and bring in visiting FTC professionals to provide mentorship and practical guidance to family treatment courts
- Publications, reports, and other materials on topics related to family treatment courts, including a planning guide and other documents describing best practices and national standards

States, tribes, and local jurisdictions seeking to enhance the operation of family treatment courts are eligible for assistance.
