Description
Offers technical assistance and information resources to help rural communities identify and implement evidence-based practices to reduce negative outcomes related to substance use disorder (SUD), including the use of synthetic opioids. Provides assistance to communities nationwide while partnering with 20 specific high-need Appalachian counties in Kentucky, New York, Ohio, and West Virginia to combat the opioid crisis.
What This Program Offers
The UR Medicine RCOE can provide:
- Direct partnerships with 20 high-need Appalachian counties to develop strategies and resources to meet specific community needs
- Technical assistance to communities nationwide looking to independently identify, adapt, and implement SUD programs
- Information resources, including webinars, toolkits, guides, and newsletters, featuring evidence-based practices and highlighting model programs and approaches in rural communities
Who Can Receive Services from This Program
Eligible participants are public health entities, healthcare providers, local community leaders, and organizations addressing or seeking to address SUD.
