Description

Supports capacity building efforts for the prevention and treatment of substance use disorder (SUD) in rural counties of Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire disproportionately affected by SUD. Utilizes innovative technology and telehealth strategies to identify real-time needs in communities, disseminate education and resources on evidence-based approaches, and provide ongoing training and technical assistance to providers in order to more effectively address the needs of individuals and special populations with SUD and related issues.

What This Program Offers

UVM CORA can provide:

  • Technical assistance to identify substance use treatment needs and barriers in rural communities
  • Ongoing in-person and remote training in the implementation and use of scientifically based assessments and interventions
  • Expertise and consultation in evidence-based treatment and patient centered care coordination through web-based consultation, scholarships, and other opportunities
  • Education and outreach resources, including a learning collective, workshop series, training scholarship, and community-wide webinars
  • Hands-on assistance from mobile teams and remote support through multiple platforms focused on SUD interventions, including treatment for special populations, and for opioid, stimulant, and other substance use
  • Research briefs, data reports, resource and user guides, and other information resources for providers, patients, and stakeholders

Who Can Receive Services from This Program

Eligible participants are healthcare providers in HRSA-designated rural counties in Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire that are providing or are interested in providing SUD treatment or prevention services.
